CHANEL WEST COAST MAKES HER COUNTRY DEBUT WITH
“LIL' BIT COUNTRY”
Nashville, TN (April 11, 2025) – Multi-media entertainer Chanel West Coast today makes her Country music debut with the release of “Lil' Bit Country.” Written by Chanel alongside ill Nicky, the song marks the star's first foray into the genre with a self-declaration track filled with sass and style. Produced by Will Saulsky, “Lil' Bit Country” is a genre-blending fiddle-fueled jam ready-made for boat days and girls night outs.

“Music has always been a huge part of my life, it's in my DNA. I started writing poetry at seven years old, then songs at 14, spent my whole childhood as a performing arts kid in choir, orchestra, Hip-Hop dance, drama and cheerleading. I started homeschool at 16 to work and pursue my music career full time and have been working on it ever since, following my passion while experimenting as an artist—and I'm so excited for people to really hear me sing for the first time,” shared Chanel West Coast. “When I was a kid I spent summers in rural Ohio with my mom's family and going to family reunions at the Grand Ole Opry. Country music was the soundtrack to so many great summertime memories and now that I have a little one of my own, it's so special to have this full circle moment and create new Country music memories.”
Chanel rose to fame on tv as a fan-favorite on shows like MTV's Fantasy Factory, Ridiculousness and most recently her own show The West Coast Hustle (streaming on demand on Amazon Prime) but has always stayed focused on the music. The daughter of a DJ/artist, she inherited her father's passion for music and began rapping at 14, influenced by her west coast surroundings, love of poetry and frankly, not knowing where to begin writing melodies for the lyrics she was writing. By 16 she had recorded her first song (at Marvin Gaye's house in the same booth where “Let's Get It On” was recorded no less). Over the years she has toured across the country and opened for several big artists like Lil Wayne, Cardi B and more. She has collaborated with Snoop Dogg, French Montana, Ty Dolla $ign and has even won a BET Award. Moving through many different seasons of life, she has evolved greatly over the years, both personally and professionally as a songwriter. Working with some of the top producers, she has found her singing voice and learned to write melodies— and thanks to motherhood, has discovered that you can't run from your roots. Inspired by the sounds of her childhood summers, Chanel is diving into creating again, this time with a Country flair.

The video for “Lil' Bit Country” was directed by Mitch Ritter and filmed in Savannah, Georgia alongside Ritter and Chanel's friends. Channeling her fun-loving nature and vibes of her backyard family gatherings, she and her crew can be seen dancing and carrying on in the Country, enjoying a little day drinking.
“The music video came together so fast, I literally just put on an outfit I had in my suitcase, but we had such a blast shooting it,” added Chanel. “Mitch did such a great job of capturing the fun, summertime vibe of the song—I love how it turned out.”
Now partnering with 1217 Entertainment, Chanel is continuing to work on new music, slated for release later this year. For more information and to check out her limited edition “Lil' Bit Country” merch, please visit www.iamchanelwestcoast.com.
